Shaoxian successfully defend his PhD

— Many congratulations to Shaoxian for successfully defending his Ph.D. thesis. The committee, in particular, was impressed with the degree of advance he made in the field of elucidating the mechanism of pore formation in graphene. He is the sixth Ph.D. student from our group.

Mohammad successfully defended his PhD thesis

— Mohammad is the fifth PhD graduate of LAS. Co-advised by Prof. Nicola Marzari, Mohammad solved the ever elusive pathway of graphene oxidation showing step-by-step evolution of defects in graphene. We wish him all the best for his next position at Credit Suisse!
