The Terapixel Panorama of the Battle of Murten is a 1.600 gigapixel digital twin of an original 19th century panorama of 1000 m2 , created by eM+ . After being tucked away in a military bunker for decades, this national treasure is being brought back to the public’s attention as a multisensory experience.
In 2026, on the occasion of the 550th anniversary of the Battle, the Terapixel Panorama will be featured in several exhibitions around Switzerland commemorating the historical event.
On 10 October 2026, the Terapixel Panorama will be on display at the Castle of Grandson, where the second battle of the Burgundian Wars took place, preceeding the Battle of Murten by a few months only.
