We are the EPFL student organization gathering all the photonics enthusiasts on campus and promoting optical science and technology. POB May 28th
We were delighted to welcome Agostino Di Francescantonio, a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Nanoscience for Energy Technologies (LNET), who gave a fantastic presentation entitled “Nonlinear and Reconfigurable Optical Metasurfaces”. The talk was followed, of course, by pizza and beer.We also introduced the new logo for our chapter, designed by Desiree Lim.
Volumetric Additive Manufacturing Workshop
On April 10th, the EPFL Photonics Chapter had the pleasure to be a part of a workshop on Volumetric Additive Manufacturing (VAM) at EPFL, organized by Prof. Christophe Moser (LAPD Lab). POB February 19th
We had our first POB (pizza-optics-beer) of the year! We had the pleasure to host Paula Nuño Ruano – postdoctoral researcher in the Photonic Systems Laboratory (PHOSL) with the presentation entitled: “Silicon subwavelength devices for efficient Brillouin scattering”.
