Postdoc Fellowships

The EPFL Research Office has information for many fellowship opportunities so regularly check their Webpage or Twitter. All of their current top funding opportunities can be found here. Two fellowships that are particularly geared for EPFL postdocs are: EPFL Fellows and EuroTechPostdoc.

Be advised that many grants have criteria for time after Ph.D., citizenship, field, and mobility. Carefully research matches with your eligibility.

LS2 “PIs of Tomorrow”

As part of the LS2 annual conference, of particular interest to senior post-docs is the “PIs of Tomorrow” session.:

PIs of Tomorrow – The future of Swiss Research

This session offers an opportunity for postdocs and senior researchers interested in pursuing an academic career to present a talk similar in format to a professorship application interview.

It will be held during the main meeting as plenary session, on February 18th, 2021

Selected participants will have the chance to get a slot for a 15-minute presentation, which should appeal to a broad audience and in which both the achievements accomplished and the proposed future research are to be explained. The talk will be followed by a 10-minute discussion on various aspects of the proposed activity, as well as on career-oriented aspects of the presenter. A knowledgeable jury panel of professors will evaluate the presentations.

The best presentation will be awarded a prize. However, everyone is a winner as all presenters in the session will receive feedback from the jury in a one-to-one private session afterward.

Deadline for applications: November 1st, 2020 (23:59 CET).
