New Name – ELSA

As decided by the GA, voting unanimously, the name of the association is now:

French : L’Association du Corps Intermédiaire Scientifique de l’EPFL
English : EPFL Scientific Staff Association
Acronym : ELSA

This new branding will allow us to support our future initiatives with EPFL, Polydoc and EPDA. Together we can bring new energy to represent better the needs of the intermediate body/scientific staff of EPFL.

The name ACIDE will still be used for the next few months until we transition to ELSA.

New Closer Collaborations

Jointly with EPDA (Postdocs) and Polydoc (Doctoral assistants), we will be revamping our membership.

You dont need to choose who to join, stronger together! We will jointly do events if the focus is for all of the intermediate body.

Any intermediate body member that joins ELSA will automatically be part of EPDA or Polydoc if they fall under the above categories. If you are a Scientist, do not fret, we will have a new working group that will focus on this catergory of the scientific staff of EPFL.

The statutes have been modified to allow for commissions that can accommodate them to better unify all our organisations if necessary in the future

Fees : Postdocs+Scientists = 30 CHF/year // PhD = 20 CHF/year (Annual, automatically renews)

Your fees support on going events as well as giving preferential access if there is oversubscription.
