Being a Club Montagne member, you can get preferential prices at climbing gyms from Grimper.ch!

Preferential prices

The discounts are only available in the following entry times. This means you must ENTER during these times, but you can stay for as long as you want.

  • Echandens (Rocspot): Monday and Friday, from 17 to 19
  • Beaulieu: Thursday, from 17 to 19

How much?

  • At Beaulieu, you will get 50% off. Independently of your CM “status”.
  • At Echandens you get 35% off if you’re an EPFL bachelor/master and 20 % off for the other membership status.

These discounts apply on top of your usual entry price.

How?

Here what you will need to do

  1. Ask for the Grimper card, the white one that has an ID code on it. You can get that even if you don’t have a subscription. Simply ask for it at your favorite gym. If you already have it, go to step 2.
  2. VERIFY GRIMPER CARD: Go to https://www.grimper.ch/ and click login. Enter the code on your Grimper card (e.g. ABh66gh). You should see your personal information. If you are not redirected to your personal page, it means the login failed. Return to the reception at Beaulieu or Echandens and say: “There is a problem with my Grimper card. It does not seem to be linked to my account. I can’t log in. Could you please fix it?” Let them fix the issue and verify that you can log in.
  3. If you are not a Bachelor’s or Master’s student, make sure you have paid the membership fee.
  4. Go to http://www.grimper.ch/groupe. Enter your Grimper ID (the code on the Grimper card) and the code related to the discount. You have to submit the form twice (once for Beaulieu and once for Echandens).
  5. The activation period needs about 48h. It happens automatically and you will not receive a confirmation email.
  6. Enjoy climbing!

The magic codes

These codes are the ones to be used on step 4.

  • EPFL Bachelor/Master – Echandens : treacle-burlap-GRUESOME-ashore
  • EPFL Doctorat – Echandens : plunge-ORLEANS-marry-lay
  • EPFL Beaulieu : stench-OKRA-firmly-inhuman

Possible problems:

  1. Your card isn’t linked to your account. See step 2.
  2. You haven’t paid the membership fee if you are not a Bachelor’s or Master’s student.
  3. You haven’t entered the correct discount code (at Echandens, students use a different code, see step 4).
  4. There has not been at least 48h between when you entered the code and when you went to the gym.
  5. You visited the gym at a time when the discount was invalid.
