The Chemistry vs Chemical Engineering Seminar aims to support students in their academic decision-making by providing a space for discussion about the different pathways available after the Bachelor’s degree. The event brings together professors and students to present the specific features of each curriculum as well as the associated academic and professional perspectives.
During this edition, presentations were given by Prof. Kay Severin for the chemistry track and Prof. Kevin Sivula for chemical engineering, followed by testimonials from Master’s students sharing their experiences, choices, and academic journeys. A student who had transitioned to another Master’s program also contributed, offering additional insight into the possibilities available after the Bachelor’s degree.
The seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session and a convivial aperitif, allowing participants to continue discussions informally and interact directly with the speakers.
Although the actual schedule evolved slightly compared to the initial program, the evening successfully achieved its main objective: providing students with concrete information and useful firsthand experiences to support their academic choices.
