Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is a technology that refers to the use of virtual machines to provide virtual desktops, such as Windows or Linux.
VDI hosts desktops and applications on a centralized server and delivers them to end users on demand. It is primarily used in education to provide teachers with a comprehensive tool for structuring and delivering their courses.
It can be accessed either via thin clients installed in rooms BCH 1113 and MA B1 486 or through the browser at https://vdi.epfl.ch.
