In this animation, we show the growth of London’s population and its vascular (railway) system, its daily heartbeat (passenger flows), and skin temperature (the urban heat island effect), revealing striking similarities between urbanisation and biological systems

With the video installation City | Organism (by Isabella Capel-Timms and Gabriele Manoli), URBES contributes to the exhibition “Positions: Transcalar Prospects in Climate Crisis” organised by EPFL Architecture (30 May – 28 July 2023, Archizoom, Place Ada Lovelace, Lausanne)
