This hike gives us the unique opportunity to ride the local rack and pinion railway that voyages up this steep alpine terrain. We will leave from Villars-sur-Ollon gare at 2:20pm heading to Col de Bretaye. We start the hike at Col de Bretaye and venture towards Chavonnes lake, which supports rich wildlife. We may even be surprised by an alpine ibex or a bearded vulture. The hike takes approximately two hours. The last train back leaves at 4:45 pm.
