New grants for MazeBio, Akteon, Larmor and HelixScreen – two at SV

Published:02.10.26 — EPFL's School of Life Sciences will be involved in two of the four promising startup projects, MazeBio and HelixScreen; the others are Akteon and Larmor. All are supported by the EPFL Startup Launchpad and are taking the next steps towards bringing their technologies to market. MazeBio and Akteon have each received a CHF 30,000 Ignition Grant, while Larmor and HelixScreen have each been awarded a CHF 100,000 Innogrant. Spanning AI-powered drug discovery, compact flow cytometry, fusion energy and personalised cancer treatment, the four projects are addressing challenges across healthcare, biotechnology and energy, turning cutting-edge EPFL research into technologies with the potential for real-world impact.

An appointment and a promotion at the School of Life Sciences

Published:28.09.26 — The Board of the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology has announced the appointment of professors at EPFL. In the School of Life Sciences, Dr Lindsey Salay is appointed Tenure Track Assistant Professor, and Professor Matteo Dal Peraro is promoted to Full Professor.
