The MRISM Lab at EPFL is at ISMRM 2026, presenting recent work in body MRI and quantitative imaging.
As a finalist in the ISMRM Young Investigator Award Competition, Jonathan Stelter presents his work on simultaneous 3D water T1 and T2 mapping in the abdomen. The method enables more comprehensive tissue assessment allowing water T2 and water T2 mapping in 3D. Furthermore, flexibility in the selection of FOV and spatial resolution allows pathology-specific multi-organ relaxometry in the abdomen: http://echo.ismrm.org/p/ISMRM2026/306-01-005
Louis Peyratoux presents a graph cut algorithm for dual-echo water–fat separation at low SNR, where Dixon imaging is prone to water–fat swaps and unstable field-map estimation. The method pairs a phase-constrained variable-projection (VARPRO) formulation with a multi-resolution graph-cut algorithm: http://echo.ismrm.org/p/ISMRM2026/660-02-003
