Wave 2: Consumption I

Wave 2 focuses on consumption habits in the Lemanic Panel. Issues relating to housing, food, consumption and energy are addressed and studied.

General information
The wave Consumption I, conducted in June and July 2023, is a follow-up to the wave 1: Mobility I, and addresses topics such as energy consumption and housing for the first time. Approximately 50% of those who responded to the first survey responded to this second survey, giving a total of 5,229 respondents.

Questionnaire
Wave 2: Consumption I covers a variety of topics. First, housing issues are addressed. Respondents were asked to indicate the number of rooms in their home, any recent renovations, and the reasons for those renovations. Next, questions about energy expenditure were addressed, before moving on to household equipment (oven, refrigerator, vacuum cleaner, etc.) and electronic devices (computers, tablets, mobile phones, etc.). Questions related to consumption habits (clothing, furniture, etc.) and food were then asked. Finally, political opinions on environmental and consumption issues were collected.

Statistics
Among the respondents, approximately half reside in the Canton of Vaud, and slightly less than 25% in France. The remaining respondents are distributed among the cantons of Geneva, Fribourg, and Valais, with respondents from the Canton of Geneva representing nearly 20% of the total sample.
