Wave Rhythm and Temporalities of Mobility

General information
The wave Rhythm and Temporalities of Mobility is the seventh survey conducted as part of the Lemanic Panel. It took place between March and April 2025 as part of two doctoral theses carried out at LaSUR. Approximately 3,300 people across the entire Panel area were invited to answer questions on accessibility issues, their subjective feelings of safety and their mobility habits according to the time of day.
Questionnaire
The questions in this wave are divided into two parts. The first part focuses on lifestyles and how they influence mobility choices. The value placed on travel time is also addressed, as well as personal feelings during daily journeys.
The second part focuses on differences in modal practices between day and night, as well as the reasons for these differences. Personal feelings of security are particularly addressed here.
Statistics
Of the 3,300 people who responded to this questionnaire, almost half are from the canton of Vaud, while the canton of Geneva and France account for approximately 45% of respondents. Less than 10% are from the cantons of Fribourg and Valais. There was an even gender distribution, with a relatively small majority of women among the respondents.
