The teaching will take the form of an operational workshop in which the visionary and abstract spirit proposed by utopian literature will seek a concrete urban form by composing with fragments harvested from the vast figurative repertoire offered by the history of architecture.
The relationship between urban morphology and architectural type will be explicitly approached using both the tools of rhetorical art, such as analogy and allegory, and the techniques of architectural composition, such as collage and assemblage.
