Open PhD positions for in Multimedia Systems and architectures
The GR-LSM (Research Group on Multimedia Architectures) of EPFL is offering Doctoral positions in the fields of Architecture – Algorithms co-exploration and Tools for the analysis of SW, DSP and digital systems. The doctoral candidates should have a Master in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent, with background in digital systems and design (C/C++, HDL, Java) or languages and compilers. Experience/background in signal processing, multimedia and video coding or operative research, are assets. Excellent skills in programming are required. These positions are available within the context of new European IST / ICT research projects, led by world technology leaders (Ericsson and Xilinx) giving the opportunity to the candidate of developing their PhD research on leading edge technologies and in dynamic and multinational environments.
Necessary condition for the engagements is to be admitted at the EPFL doctoral school (look at application and admittance rules).
