“I am a senior scientist in the Neuroepigenetics laboratory led by Johannes Gräff at EPFL.
After completing a Master’s degree in theoretical physics, I pursued my doctoral studies at the Max-Planck-Institute for Medical Research in Heidelberg, where I developed extensive expertise in electrophysiology to investigate synaptic transmission and plasticity. During my postdoctoral training in the group of Anita Lüthi at the University of Lausanne, I became interested in the cellular mechanisms underlying sleep rhythms. I further developed this research direction as a senior scientist in the group of Carmen Sandi at EPFL, where I investigated how stress and anxiety influence neuronal excitability and, in turn, sleep rhythms and sleep-dependent memory consolidation.
In the Neuroepigenetics laboratory, I explore how epigenetic mechanisms shape neuronal excitability and synaptic plasticity, and how these processes intersect with sleep rhythms and memory engram dynamics.”
