” I am a postdoctoral researcher in the lab of Neuroepigenetics led by Johannes Gräff at EPFL. I have a keen interest in how genetic and molecular complexities confer cognitive functionalities and disease susceptibilities. During my PhD at the Voineagu lab (Sydney, Australia), I studied how distinct epigenetic profiles contribute to healthy brain development and neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders and intellectual disabilities. This experience sparked my interest in further exploring the neuroepigenetic basis of learning and memory. Excited by the opportunity to combine epigenetic approaches and engram technologies, I joined the Gräff lab. Here, I aim to study how epigenetic regulation contributes to memory consolidation and extinction in the context of infantile amnesia and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).“
