Practice as a complement to theoretical reflection is understood through the experience of design. It is the moment of verification of the space within which the landscape of production encloses the expressive instance of the architectural project, the intellectual and material product which defines the principles which inspire environmental physical and symbolic trans-formation.
Design studios are imagined in intentionally unfamiliar conditions (contexts), and through intentionally unfamiliar themes (pretexts), in order to stimulate critical reflection on all aspects of design practice.
