Hands, symbol of humanity and visual for the SHS 2025-2026 brochure
The SHS brochure presents all the courses in the program and the initiatives undertaken to enrich it and adapt it to changes in our societies.
The visuals were created as part of the SHS “Graphic Design” course led by Denis Rouèche, who also teaches at ECAL. The students in the course were asked to work in groups to propose five images representing the School and the human aspects of the SHS Program. The project, chosen by a jury composed of teachers and graphic designers, is the work of three students: Claire Hennel (Master’s in Architecture), Madeleine Hueber (Master’s in Data Science), and Mélinda Pereira (Master’s in Architecture).

We wanted to understand what the SHS represented at EPFL and why they are relevant. What emerged from our research was above all the human aspect and teamwork.
