It recognizes a teacher who has demonstrated outstanding excellence in doctoral-level teaching, including pedagogical innovation, students’ skill development, and a clear contribution to doctoral education.
Candidates for the Award are nominated by EPFL doctoral students.
The selection criteria for this award include the relevance of the doctoral course to doctoral studies and careers, the teacher’s dedication to doctoral teaching, the quality of the course, and feedback from the doctoral programs.
