Call for Proposals – New Courses

Share your expertise!

Propose your project

You are a Professor or a permanent member of the academic staff? Continuing Education supports you in creating a new course through a dedicated grant. Take on a societal, economic or technological challenge and share your expertise by developing advanced skills among professionals.

Why participate?

Continuing education is at the heart of EPFL’s mission, and demand is booming across several fields. Seize this opportunity to build direct ties with industry and generate new sources of funding for your laboratory. It’s not about teaching more, but about sharing knowledge differently!

Are you eligible?

To be considered, projects must clearly identify :

  • Overall course objective
  • Learning outcomes
  • Target audience
  • Course lead (Professor, MER, or senior scientist at EPFL)

Every research field matters, but proposals aligned with the following areas of expertise and favoring the Microcredential (MC) format will receive particular attention.

Our financial support

The grant awarded to selected candidates, funded by EPFL’s and Movetia resources, covers 50% of the development costs of a new training program delivered by a dedicated EPFL unit. It is paid once the program has been successfully launched. Depending on the amount awarded, the payment may be made in installments.

Please see more information at the Guide For Applicants.

What is the Skills & Upskilling Survey?

The market research aimed to identify the most urgent and important upskilling needs in key domains from both individual and organisational perspectives. It was designed to prioritise which skills and learning formats should guide future courses. Please see more information on the Skills & Upskilling Survey.
