YUVA operates through the collaborative efforts of its committee members, who contribute their time and skills to ensure the smooth functioning of the association.
Below is a brief overview of the key roles within the committee:
Presidency and Vice-presidency
Responsible for providing overall leadership and direction to the association. The President, supported by the Vice-President, ensures that the objectives of the association are met in accordance with its values and constitution. Both roles require active collaboration with all committee members, coordination of meetings, and oversight of planning and execution of major events. These positions are filled through democratic elections held annually.
Treasury
Oversees all financial aspects of the association. This includes managing the budget, tracking expenses and reimbursements, maintaining financial records, and coordinating with EPFL or other bodies for fund disbursement. The Treasurer ensures that financial practices remain transparent and compliant with institutional guidelines.
Outreach and Communications
Manages the association’s internal and external communication channels. Responsibilities include maintaining mailing lists, handling official correspondence, managing social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram), and coordinating promotional activities. This role ensures consistent and timely dissemination of information to members and the broader community.
Logistics and Inventory
Ensures that all events and activities are logistically sound. This includes booking venues, arranging equipment and materials, managing inventories, and coordinating setup and teardown.
Design and Content
Responsible for creating content and promotional material for events and announcements. This includes designing posters, flyers, and digital media assets, as well as ensuring visual consistency across YUVA’s platforms.
Cultural and events
Handles inviting the performers, coordinating rehearsals, and ensuring the cultural integrity and quality of all public-facing events.
General Committee Members
In addition to designated roles, YUVA welcomes active involvement from members who may not hold specific portfolios but wish to contribute to the association’s operations. General committee members assist in the planning and execution of events, provide support across teams, and help promote a positive and inclusive environment.
