The ELSA (EPFL Scientific Staff Association) committee invites you to an :

43rd General Assembly

We will hold the general assembly in tandem with Polydoc and EPDA to better join our efforts and elected positions. EPDA will hold a short session just before for their finances

This is our yearly GA where all our positions will be up for voting

Members interested in standing for election must submit their candidacy in writing by January 19th 2026 or declare their candidacy during the meeting.

ONLY paid members of the scientific staff that have paid their dues for 2025 are eligible (Join + Pay here) EPFL email + Google account. If you are a paid member of EPDA (EPFL Postdoc association) your membership fee includes ELSA membership.

  1. Opening of the meeting and approval of the agenda
  2. Approval of the Minutes of the 41st General Assembly and the 42nd Extraordinary General Assembly
  3. Overview of 2024 and 2025 activities and updates
    1. Events

  4. Current Organizational status
    1. Fusion of overlapping working groups between associations
  5. Proposed statute changes
    1. Membership Fees : “Paid memberships between Sept-Dec count for the year thereafter”
    2. To form a ‘Scientists Focus Group’ – Equivalent of Polydoc and EPDA.
    3. To formalize Polydoc and EPDA in the statutes
    4. A possible vice-President alongside the two Co-Presidents – “To better represent all groups”
    5. Treasurer : “When a Treasurer departs EPFL or resigns, the Co-Presidents can nominate another committee member or engage an ELSA member to be Treasurer ad interim until the next GA.
