Activities

Chamber Music Saturdays take place on the Dorigny campus. Groups of musicians are formed based on registrations (string quartets, trios for clarinet, cello, and piano, etc.).

Open to all levels and instruments!

You will receive the sheet music approximately 4 weeks before the activity. These pieces are performed during one or two sessions in one of the Vortex rooms. The musicians are accompanied by a music teacher. There are two 2-hour sessions.

  Saturday
Session I 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Session II 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

The program is designed based on registrations, and we do our best to ensure it is engaging and suited to your skill level. Your preferences help the organizers, even if not all can be accommodated (if you own the sheet music you suggest, please mention it)!

For dates, rates, and registration, please check the annual calendar.

Chamber music weekends are held at the Hindemith Foundation in Blonay. Groups of musicians are formed based on registrations (string quartets, trios for clarinet, cello, and piano, etc.).

Open to all skill levels and instruments!

You will receive the sheet music approximately 4 weeks before the event. These pieces are performed during one or two sessions in one of the Foundation’s halls. The musicians are guided by a music teacher. The two days are divided into four practice sessions of 1 hour and 30 minutes (on Saturday) or 1 hour and 15 minutes (on Sunday) each. Each session is followed by a 15-minute break with juice, tea, coffee, and cookies, so you can recharge.

After the final session on Sunday, a short concert is held at 4:30 PM so that those who wish to perform a piece they worked on over the weekend may do so.

For dates, rates, and registration, see the annual calendar.

The AUMC regularly organizes concerts on the UNIL-EPFL campus. We host lunchtime concerts at EPFL, as well as larger-scale concerts during the spring semester. The AUMC also participates in the Fécule festival at UNIL every year.
