The University Chamber Music Association (AUMC) is a UNIL-EPFL student organization founded to bring musicians together on campus. The AUMC organizes chamber music activities in Dorigny (on Saturdays) and in the beautiful setting of the Hindemith Foundation in Blonay (on weekends, with on-site accommodations). Highly skilled professional musicians coach the ensembles formed for the occasion in a friendly and enriching atmosphere.
In addition, the AUMC provides pianos to all members of the EPFL community, allowing everyone to practice their instrument on campus. The UNIL community also has rooms equipped with pianos, the management of which was taken over by UNIL in 2021.
Finally, the AUMC organizes events such as lunchtime concerts, piano masterclasses, and larger events like the Fécule festival at UNIL.
Organization
The various events are organized by the committee, which is elected annually at the general assembly.
Members
Any member of the university community (UNIL, EPFL, and affiliated institutes) who wishes to participate in the association’s activities may become a member of the AUMC. This includes students, mid-level faculty, professors, research, administrative, and technical staff, as well as alumni, high school students, and elementary school students. Non-members are also welcome, although priority is given to members of the university community.
Each member of the association receives information via email about the association’s activities and registration forms for these events. You can register with the AUMC via this Google form. Registration is free of charge.
