Vice-Presidency

The Vice President of AdEC supports the President in the overall management of the association. Their primary role is to ensure the smooth functioning of the association by maintaining and improving its structure.

1. Institutional Representation

  • Support the President in officially representing AdEC to the Section of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (SCGC), EPFL, and its bodies.

  • Represent AdEC at the Section Associations Round Table (TRAS) meetings to ensure effective communication with other section associations at EPFL.

2. Supervision and Coordination

  • Supervise all association activities, ensuring consistency in actions undertaken.

  • Ensure that decisions made by the General Assembly and the committee are carried out.

  • Uphold the unity, vision, and collective objectives of the association.

3. Administrative Management

  • Assist in organizing and chairing committee meetings (agenda, invitations, follow-up on decisions).

  • Draft or supervise the drafting of the annual activity report.

4. Strategic and Operational Planning

  • Ensure the execution of general schedules for events and projects established by the President.

  • Guarantee an efficient and fair distribution of tasks among committee members.

5. Support to the Committee

  • Support other committee members in fulfilling their responsibilities.

  • Contribute to the organization of events.

  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive working environment.

Legal Responsibility
The Vice President, together with the Treasurer, supports the President in legally committing the association. They share partial responsibility for ensuring compliance with AdEC’s statutes, internal regulations, and contractual or institutional obligations.
