Presidency

The President of AdEC is responsible for the overall management of the association. They oversee the coordination of activities, represent the association to both internal and external stakeholders, and supervise the administrative and organizational work of the committee. They ensure the proper execution of decisions made at the General Assembly and compliance with the association’s statutes.

1. Institutional Representation

  • Officially represent AdEC to the Section of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, EPFL, and its bodies.

  • Maintain relations with other student associations at EPFL, including those within the Faculty of Basic Sciences and other sections.

2. Supervision and Coordination

  • Supervise all association activities, ensuring consistency in actions undertaken.

  • Ensure that decisions taken by the General Assembly and the committee are carried out.

  • Uphold the unity, vision, and collective goals of the association.

3. Administrative Management

  • Organize and chair committee meetings (agenda, invitations, follow-up on decisions).

  • Manage administrative relations with partners, institutions, and suppliers.

  • Ensure institutional recognition of the association by EPFL.

  • Draft or supervise the drafting of the annual activity report.

4. Strategic and Operational Planning

  • Establish general schedules for events and projects organized by the association.

  • Ensure an efficient and fair distribution of tasks among committee members.

5. Support to the Committee

  • Support other committee members in fulfilling their responsibilities.

  • Contribute to the organization of events.

  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive working environment.

Legal Responsibility
The President legally commits the association, together with the Vice President and the Treasurer. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with the statutes, internal regulations, and the contractual or institutional obligations of AdEC.
