Facilities Operations
Our Objectives and Mission
The Facilities Operations Service keeps the technical heart of the campus beating. Heating, ventilation, plumbing and electricity: day after day, our teams maintain and optimise the installations that make EPFL’s buildings comfortable and safe.
Whenever an installation does not work as it should, our teams respond quickly, day and night, and keep a continuous eye on buildings to anticipate maintenance needs.
Every day, we also provide a wide range of on-site services for buildings and the people who use them. Working with internal and external partners, we focus on preventive maintenance to ensure service continuity and contribute to the campus’s energy efficiency.
The Services We Offer :
Intervention Requests
For any technical intervention (repair, malfunction or minor adjustment), a request can be submitted via our online form.
Troubleshooting Requests
For any technical problems (breakdowns, leaks, damaged doors, etc.), the CAE is at your service 24/7. They receive alarms from buildings and security devices to enable a swift response.
Caretakers
For suggestions or complaints regarding different types of cleaning, information on waste management, and any key-related requests.
Documentation for External Companies
To facilitate your work on campus, all necessary information and regulations for external companies can be found in the dedicated documentation.
Energy on Campus
To support the campus in energy management, our teams provide the necessary recommendations, enabling optimised resource use and improved energy efficiency.
