Facilities Operations

Our Objectives and Mission
The Facilities Operations Service is vital to the smooth running of the EPFL campus. We are responsible for the maintenance and optimisation of technical infrastructure, including Heating, Ventilation, Sanitation, and Electricity (HVSE).
We also handle intervention requests requiring urgent action in cases of security issues, hazards, critical situations, or damage resulting from the malfunction or breakdown of a system, device, or facility.
Additionally, we manage project requests by supporting laboratories and departments in the implementation of renovations, new installations, or technical enhancements tailored to their specific needs.
Working in collaboration with internal technical teams and external contractors, we ensure both preventive and corrective maintenance of all facilities. This approach guarantees service continuity and contributes to the campus’s energy efficiency.
