Evolution of Multivalent Supramolecular Assemblies of Aptamers with Target-Defined Spatial Organization

To translate the preliminary findings of MEDUSA into a versatile technology, two directions will be explored: [1] analysis of the structure / function relation of aptamer modification toward selectivity; [2] transformation of the backbone to generate sensitive molecular diagnostic sensors. Together, this project promises to redefine the current golden standard of molecular affinity evolution for multivalent targets and establishes a new common-practice in ligand identification.
