No-deal situation with Springer Nature

— The swiss negotiations with publisher Springer Nature, which began in early 2025, have not resulted in a mutually acceptable Read and Publish agreement. For the time being, they do not meet the negotiation mandate requirements of swissuniversities. While the negotiation team continues its effort to seek a resolution with Springer Nature, the EPFL Library in consultation with the Consortium of Swiss Academic Libraries is now facing a scenario without agreement since the beginning of the year, given that the previous contract ended on December 31st, 2025.

Read & Publish agreement with Wiley 2025-2027

— As part of the Swiss national strategy on Open Access, swissuniversities, on behalf of the Swiss Higher Education Institutions, and Wiley signed a second Read & Publish agreement (2025-2027), covering Wiley's entire journal portfolio.
