The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST),

The NM-AIST in Arusha, Tanzania is a Research based Higher Learning Institution (HLIs) which started accepting Masters and PhD students in 2011. It’s one in a network of Pan-African Institutions of Science and Technology located across Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) which are the proud brainchild of the late Nelson Mandela.

The Vision of NM-AIST is to become a world-class institution of higher learning dedicated to the pursuit and promotion of excellence in SETI, and their applications for economic growth and sustainable development in Africa.
