Motivated candidates at any level bringing their own funding are always encouraged to apply.
While there are currently no funded positions available, we are always happy to support motivated candidates applying for external funding (e.g., HFSP, EMBO, Marie-Curie, SNF SPF, Engelhorn scholarships).
We are currently recruiting one Ph.D. student for the application deadline of April/2026. If you are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. at EPFL, you are encouraged to apply through one of the EPFL School of Life Sciences doctoral programs: EDMS, EDBB, or EDBB. Admissions are handled centrally, with application deadlines typically in April and November.
We do have several projects available for Master’s students and welcome direct inquiries from interested candidates. Please get in touch at [email protected]
We typically host one to two students per semester, including bachelor projects, semester projects, Master’s theses, or internships. In the summer, priority will be given to Summer Research Project students.
Please contact Cauã with a C.V., specify how your interests match our group’s research, and indicate the system (e.g., Bacterial communication proteins, other bacterial transcription factors, genetic circuits) and methods (e.g., computational, experimental) you would like to work with.
