CHAIR OF RANDOM GEOMETRY

RGM

The chair of random geometry is a small research group at the department of mathematics in EPFL.
At large we are interested in how one can describe and study systems where geometric structure and randomness interact. Real-life examples are everywhere around us – coffee stains and clouds, bubbles in boiling water, waves and seafronts, snowflakes, trees with their leaves.
The mathematical research of such phenomena is currently a very active field with many researchers over the world.
