Dr. Jong-Seok Lee is currently an assistant professor at the School of Integrated Technology, Yonsei University, Korea. He received his phd degree in Electrical Engineering at KAIST, where he also worked as a postdoctoral researcher and an adjunct professor. He spent some time as a research scientist in the Multimedia Signal Processing Group (MMSPG), Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland.
He was the chair of the First Spring School on Social Media Retrieval (S3MR) 2010, Interlaken, Switzerland (lectures online), and an organizing committee member of the second edition of S3MR 2011, Antalya, Turkey (lectures online). He is a member of Multimedia Communication Technical Committee of the IEEE Communication Society.
His research interests include multimedia signal processing, multimedia quality assessment, and multimodal human-computer interfaces.
