Global Sensor Networks – a middleware for processing sensor data in the Internet (since 2004)
Global Sensor Networks or GSN is a project started at EPFL in late 2004. The project ‘s main goal is to develop a generic platform for deploying sensor networks and processing data produced by the sensor network in a distributed fashion. The development of GSN is based on the observation that most of the requirements between the software platforms developed for sensor networks are similar. GSN is in the meantime practically deployed in a wide range of applications world-wide. GSN is open source.
