Noémie is a neuroscientist who completed her academic path at the University of Rennes, where she obtained two Master’s degrees, first in Ethology and then in Clinical Neurosciences, and later pursued a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience. Her doctoral work explored the electrophysiological signatures of specific cognitive deficits in Parkinson’s disease, with a particular focus on aperiodic brain activity.
Her research combines behavioural paradigms, electroencephalography (EEG), and non-invasive brain neuromodulation to characterise the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying apathy in Parkinson’s disease. In parallel, she uses magnetoencephalography (MEG) to study social visual perception in Parkinson’s disease, with a particular focus on patients experiencing minor visual hallucinations.
