Berenice holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Human Medicine from the University of Lausanne, including a year at the University of Zurich through the Swiss Mobility program. During her Master’s thesis, she explored the use of VR serious games in cognitive neurorehabilitation, focusing on adapting prism adaptation to immersive VR to target unilateral spatial neglect.
Motivated by an interest in bridging neuroscience research and clinical practice, Berenice chose to pursue an MD-PhD before beginning residency training. In her MD-PhD, she will investigate how bodily self-consciousness shapes episodic memory in both healthy individuals and clinical populations, combining immersive VR, behavioral paradigms, and neuroimaging.
Her MD-PhD is supported by a national fellowship awarded by Dementia Research Switzerland – Synapsis Foundation.
