Laboratory for Advanced Fabrication Technologies

Introduction to laboratory
The Laboratory for Advanced Fabrication Technologies (LAFT) pushes the frontiers of advanced micro/nanofabrication to enable new capabilities in electronics, energy, and medicine.
Through each of these thrusts, we develop new materials, tools, and processes, with a focus on a deep physical understanding. We then apply these capabilities to realize a range of systems in microelectronics, medical devices, precision electromechanical systems, wearables, and sensing and actuation.
The laboratory is led by Prof. Vivek Subramanian, who joined EPFL in 2018 after spending almost 20 years as a professor at the University of California, Berkeley. The lab is always looking for talented PhD students and postdocs.
