The Accademia dei Lincei, founded in 1603 da Federico Cesi, is the oldest scientific Academy in the world. The Academy had among his early members Galileo Galilei. The highest italian cultural Institution, since 1992 the Academy is formally the Advisory body of the President of the italian Republic (cfr https://www.lincei.it/it )
Rinaldo has been elected in the class of Mechanics and Application of Mathematics, and will be inducted on November 8, 2019, at the presence of the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella.
