We are happy to announce the fifth edition of the EDCE research day. This is an annual event to foster scientific exchange and social interactions among the members of the EDCE program, both students and thesis directors. This year’s theme is How to organise your life after the PhD.
It is our goal that every EDCE student will present their work at least once during the research day, such that everyone’s work gets visibility in our program.
This year the EDCE research day will be held on October 7, 14 – 18h, and it will feature:
– a poster session to showcase the research of our doctoral students
– 3 poster awards
– an panel discussion on Life after PhD, in which students can ask questions and gain informal information about how to think/organise/ plan your life after the PhD.
The research day is open (and recommended) to all EDCE students, thesis directors and collaborators.
Posters
There will be posterboards, A0 size, 177cm high and 100cm wide, where you can nail your poster. The boards will be at place from 12h30 the same morning so you can bring your printed poster well before the event that starts at 14h00. Find the board with your assigned number and nail your poster. You won’t have to make a presentation of your poster, (though you are of course welcome to if you want).
If you can’t attend, you have the possibility to attend next year, or, if you wish you can ask a collegue to bring your poster. Inform the EDCE office if you have been asked to participe with a poster, but don’t have the possibility.
If you are a 4 year student, and couldn’t show your work in the EDCE event last year, you are invited to bring your poster to this year’s event.
Send a pdf copy of your poster some days before the event to the edce office.
Best poster awards
There will be three prizes awarded for the best posters.
So make sure to give your best 🙂
Food and drinks
We will end the event with ample food and drinks for some nice discussions and get together.
