Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Sustainable Resilient Value Chains (SRVC)

EPFL Executive Education SRVC is delighted to introduce the new Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Sustainable Resilient Value Chains (SRVC)!

This new MAS program enables participants to build the critical know-how and systemic perspective necessary to become change catalysts of value chains; aligning resilience and sustainability imperatives with operational performance and responsible technology enabled decision-making.

The MAS features a part-time, stackable architecture: three operational complementary Certificates of Advanced Studies (CAS) and a final MAS thesis module.

Why a MAS in Sustainable Resilient Value Chains at EPFL?

Value chains are “end-to-end” supply chains implicating almost all roles in enterprises

Value chains are undergoing rapid structural reconfiguration triggered by several major developments:

  • Global-scale disruptions create systemic and persistent risk in value chains
  • Sustainability, traceability, and reporting requirements and opportunities are intensifying
  • Rapid advances in data technologies are reshaping operations

EPFL is well-positioned for an education that seeks to fill these capability gaps, as they are located at the intersection between management and technology. The program supports EPFL’s mission to contribute to a sustainable transition of our economy and society, and to support responsible digital transformation; as well as EPFL’s mission to build strong continuing education offerings and to help reskill the workforce.
Given Switzerland’s position as an export nation, value chain management is key to firm performance.

Who is it designed for

The MAS program is tailored for mid- to senior-career professionals with decision authority and responsibility over business operations, supply chains and logistics, risk management and compliance, sustainability, digitalization and IT.
Through the different program modules, participants build the critical know-how and systemic perspective necessary to manage value chains end-to-end, aligning resilience and sustainability objectives with operational performance and data-enabled decision-making.
