Consumer detox

Activity in french only !
Enough talk of ecology, it’s time to experiment!
From 18 March to 18 April 2025, go on a consumer fast! We’re challenging ourselves to consume less, to do things differently, and to observe our consumption in the areas of food, transport, digital technology, shopping and housing. We’re also looking at what we want to grow in our lives!
This year’s theme is ‘growing and shrinking’.
What does the current analysis of reality tell us? That consumption must decrease if we are to limit the damage to the climate, to life itself and to human life on earth. Taking the detox approach is one way of entering this necessary process of degrowth. The good news is that so many things are destined to grow. So let’s set off together in search of all the excellent things that can grow and multiply!
There will be three group sessions to reinforce this approach: on 18 March, 27 March and 15 April from 6.15pm to 8.30pm at CM 1258.
Why take part?
Experience (rather than talk or despair) how our consumption can decrease to protect the climate, life on Earth and our own humanity.
Identify the wonderful aspects of life that can grow and flourish.
Take part in dynamic, interactive activities: quizzes, games, enriching discussions, guided meditations, and much more.
What to expect:
✨ A welcoming, caring space: let’s share our expectations and motivations together in a friendly atmosphere.
✨ Fun, hard-hitting workshops: dive into crucial topics such as CO₂ impact, the limits of energy transition and digitalisation, emissions inequality or the donut theory.
✨ An open and practical spiritual approach: explore biblical texts in with an ecological reading, and find ways forward.
✨ A time for you: define your own detox choices as part of a personal approach to degrowth and growth.
Everyone is welcome! You can sign up directly, or come along to the detox info session on March 11 from 6.15pm to 6.45pm at CM 1258. It’s not compulsory for people who sign up. It will allow us to answer any questions you may have.
You can register here.
We look forward to sharing this adventure with you:)
