The print button produces high quality PDF printouts of plan.epfl.ch. The print area is represented in the map zone by a yellow frame in A4 or A3 format.

In the selection zone on the left, you can select:
– Landscape or Portrait format for a horizontal or vertical printout. The frame of the grey print area will then be shown as either horizontal or vertical.
– The scale permits the determination of the size of the area to print
- 1:100 prints a place on an A4 page (1m corresponds to 1cm on the page)
- 1:250 prints a place and its immediate surroundings (2.5m corresponds to 1cm on the page)
- 1:500 prints a small building or wing of a building (5m corresponds to 1cm on the page)
- 1:1000 prints a building (10m corresponds to 1cm on the page)
- 1:2500 prints a large section of EPFL (25m corresponds to 1cm on the page)
- 1:5000 prints all of EPFL (50m corresponds to 1cm on the page)
- 1:10000 prints EPFL and the main access routes (100m corresponds to 1cm on the page)
- 1:25000 prints EPFL and its surroundings (250m corresponds to 1cm on the page)
– The title is optional, and will be printed in bold on the top left of the page
The print button will generate the corresponding PDF file, which will then be downloaded by your web browser. You can then open and print this document on your computer with a PDF reader such as Acrobat Reader
The Reset pos. (reinitialise position) button recentres the frame of the print area on the map zone (very useful if the frame is no longer visible).
