Bagistrale

The Bagistrale is a ceremony organized at the section level with the aim of celebrating, in an informal and convivial atmosphere, the awarding of Bachelor’s diplomas to the students of a given Section. This type of event is organized by the student association of the respective Section, often in collaboration with or with the support of the Section’s academic leadership.

Guests typically include the students receiving their Bachelor’s degrees, the academic representatives of the Section, and, if deemed appropriate by the student association or the Section, members of the EPFL management. Depending on the capacity of the venue, the relatives of the graduating students may also be invited.

The format generally consists of a first part including speeches and the diploma awarding ceremony, followed by an apéritif (with or without music depending on the venue and other conditions).
