Every seven years, all the EPFL PhD students are polled. The goal is to have a sense of the concerns, needs and wishes of the current cohort of PhD students as well as to understand the evolution of some key quality-of-life and academic indicators.
PolyDoc worked with the Associate Vice Presidency for Doctoral and Lifelong Education as well as the heads of Doctoral Schools to create the 2026 PhD survey. The themes included satisfaction regarding supervision, quality of training for the post-PhD job market, mental health, … The complete results are being processed and PolyDoc will be part of the analysis.
