The School-Workshop Rudra-Béjart had already given us the great pleasure to come perform on
the EPFL campus during the 2016 Dance Day. Forty young dancers had then displayed all arts
taught by the school by interpreting Les Oiseaux. We are therefore glad to collaborate once again
with the 2018 Dance Day and host, this time, the performance Omnes Generationes.

Getting inspiration from the crushing waves of occidental arts and ideas, a new life organized
itself around the millennial traditions of the African and South American peoples. We find in the
texts of Dom Hélder Câmara and Martin Luther King the scarlet color of the revolted ardor that
enabled these peoples to find their dignity.

The students of Ecole-Atelier Rudra-Béjart Lausanne, coming from 5 different continents, live
everyday the sensation of navigating from one culture to another, from a known world to
discovery. To not get lost, to communicate, to travel without fear, tp hold out one’s hand with
trust, to accept difference, to discover and to discover oneself !

18 nationalities dance and sing the high moments that marked the timeless voices of these two
humanists of the 20th century :

  • Gloria – The encounter
  • Crédo – The Human’s rights
  • Kyrié – The institutional violence
  • Sanctus – The faith in the future of humanity
  • La Huida – The journey
