Activités secondaire II

En collaboration avec le Service de promotion de l’éducation de l’EPFL nous proposons plusieurs activités mathématiques et participons à différentes manifestations scientifiques

Tout au long de l’année, l’EPFL et le Service de promotion de l’éducation (SPE) organisent des manifestations scientifiques pour les étudiants de secondaire II, manifestations auxquelles participent l’Institut et la Section de Mathématiques.

Summer School

1011+1101=24 à l’aide de Minecraft

Crée une calculatrice dans Minecraft et additionne des nombres binaires.

Les dates pour l’édition 2021 seront annoncées prochainement.

11th World Congress in Probability and Statistics

Published:13.08.24 — On August 12th, Victor Panaretos, who holds the EPFL chair of mathematical statistics, opened the Bernoulli-IMS (Institute of Mathematical Statistics) 11th World Congress in Probability and Statistics 2024, in his capacity of President of the Bernoulli Society (jointly with Michael Kosorok the president of the IMS).

Maria Colombo awarded EMS Prize

Published:17.07.24 — EPFL mathematician Maria Colombo has been awarded an EMS Prize from the European Mathematical Society.

Published:12.07.24 — At its meeting of 10-11 July 2024, the ETH Board has named Dr. Oliver Janzer as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor at the School of Basic Sciences (SB)

The 2024 "Prix Schläfli" for Mathematics has been awarded to Jonathan

Published:17.05.24 — The Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT) has awarded the "Prix Schläfli" for 2024 for a doctoral work in mathematics to Jonathan Gruber for his thesis "Generic direct summands of tensor products for simple algebraic groups and quantum groups at roots of unity", obtained in 2022 under the supervision of Prof. Donna Testerman.
