François Wunschel et Pier Schneider
1024 architecture travail sur la relation entre espace, image et son.
Nous cherchons à faire dialoguer espace réel et espace virtuel en mettant en oeuvre des installations, scénographie et dispositifs visuel et sonore.
Entre architecture, art visuel et installation in-situ, notre travail s’inscrit dans des temporalité variable, de quelques heures à plusieurs mois…
1024 architecture
1024architecture is the video and art installation section of EXYZT group, made by François Wunschel (1978) & Pier Schneider (1977)
They met in 1996 at the architecture school of Strasbourg / France (67)
Their first commun action was in 1998, when they turned a urban-analysis into a sound performance called ECHO: 2 singers, 1 echo pedal, and all the urban-esque vocabulary they’ve been teached…
In 1999 they won a special mention for the global provocation at the ELF-Atochem Architectural Competition, with a design showing the use of plastic bags for inflatable ghetto-housing: a urban-bag for urban travelers…
In 2000 they moved to Paris, and passed through different architectural schools where they made several video and architectural experimentations:
They built EXYZT in 2002 with 3 others architects, for a commun action called “architecture du rab”.
Since then, Pier Schneider and François Wunschel worked together on the interaction between space, sound, and visuals, architecture & art, low tech and hi-tech.
